This evening the teens got together for a Monday Night Fellowship at the Perez Home. We swam and ate good food! Here are a few pictures from our party. We also celebrated Virgilio’s birthday!

Today was our free day, and tomorrow morning around 9am we head home to Columbus. We slept in this morning until 10am and left Highland Hights (where we have been housed this week) around noon. We had lunch at a local mall and saw a cheap movie at the $1.50 theater. After the movie we headed towards downtown Nashville. We walked down the main drag on Broadway and had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. We had a fun day! Here are a few pictures from the day.
We had a great week! God was glorified!

Today was a fun day. We went to Nashville Shores (Nashville’s water park) with the other teens working in the Inner City Ministries. Inner City bought tickets for all the teens working in the ministry this summer as a reward for their hard work this summer. We were invited to tag along. We met up with Stacy, Tiffany and the other teens at the Vultee church building around 11am. We ate lunch and headed toward Nashville Shores.
On another note, it was estimated that around 600 inner city kids were in attendance at the Carnival last night. We went through over 1,000 hot dogs and sodas!

Today we met up with Stacy and Tiffany at the bus garage first thing this morning. We then had a devotional with all the campaign groups at the Bible Theatre (an old church building where they play bible videos for inner city kids). From there we went back to the Vultee church building to clean and make some plates of food for some folks that are shut in.
For lunch we went to Centennial Park and also made a sandwich for a homeless man. While we were at the park we visited the Parthenon.
After lunch, we helped set up for the carnival we had this evening. Our group blew up helium balloons and brought down supplies from the kitchen to the carnival site. This year we didn’t do as much set up as the year before because there is a group of 40 teens here from Texas. They did most of the major work of setting up the tents and preparing the games.
From 6:30-8:30 pm we carnivaled it up! We each served in various ways. Some of us served food and drinks, and others ran some of the games and activities. I have pictures to prove it. Today was a great day!
Continue to pray for our group!

We have had an awesome Monday and Tuesday! On Monday we mainly worked in the projects inviting folks to VBS and getting information for the new bus route that starts in September. We paired up with inner city teens and knocked on doors. The teens love the challenge and the relational side of door knocking.
Tuesday we spent time visiting a few folks from the Vultee Church (our home base church where Inner City Ministries is located). We went to visit Brother Tim and his family. Brother Tim had a stroke two months ago and has trouble walking. Our teens looked up scriptures to share with the family, and we sang and prayed with them. After we visited Brother Tim’s family we went to visit a lady named Lashonda in the hospital who just had heart surgery. We sang, prayed and read scripture to her and her family in the hospital room. God was glorified. Tuesday afternoon we worked again in the projects finishing the work we started Monday.
Both Monday and Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8pm our teens were in charge of teaching the 2”s & 3′s; 4′s; and the 5 year olds. We taught on the life of Jacob. Tomorrow we set up for the carnival we have Wednesday night as a finale of our VBS week. Here are a few pictures of the past few days!
Keep praying for our group!

Monday
Today was great! We met Stacy and Tiffany Dixon (the bus drivers/evangelists we are working with this week) at the bus lot. We split up the guys and girls and went with Stacy and Tiffany who drive separate buses. It was hot on the bus with no a/c but we survived. Tiffany and the girls went to the west side of town and the guys went to the north side to pick up people for church. We worshiped with the Vultee Church of Christ @ 11pm. some of our teens went to help Stacy teach the middle school Sunday school class. After church we got back on the bus and took the people home.
Afternoon
After dropping off the bus group we had sandwiches at the Vultee church building (our home base), worked on our plan for tomorrow and prepared for tonight’s classes. Here are a few pictures from our classes.
Today was a great day! Continue to pray for our trip!
